Looking ahead the holidays are right around the corner. Thanksgiving is coming up next week and then the season is in full swing. Being a time to express thanks for our gifts and blessings, I find myself going back to the basics this year. Between a global pandemic and navigating a time of uncertainty over the last couple of years, I am most grateful for the basics – family, friends, community, health, a warm home – and not as concerned with less essential elements of what might represent a reason for gratitude. To be sure, I have been blessed way beyond what I am expressing here but those are, for me, foundational.
I’m keeping today’s message short and simply wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving with whatever brings you the most meaning – and time out to appreciate them.
